The Hope House.

The Hope House is more than a place to stay. It is a stepping stone for men who are facing homelessness, built on effort-based programs, personal growth, and community support. The program is 100% free to the men who live here.

The four phases

1. Invest in yourself

   Residents earn and volunteer with Marked For Life, attend church, discipleship classes, and life skills classes, and work on personal development.

2. Focus on employment

   With a solid foundation, residents begin seeking and securing employment.

3. Transition to housing

   Residents move into permanent housing, with continued support from the team.

4. Give back

   Graduates keep a relationship with the Hope Center, often returning to volunteer and encourage the next group of men.

Who can apply

Hope House is a long-term residential program for men ready to take the next step toward lasting change. Space is limited, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Applicants must:

• Complete a background screening to help ensure a safe and appropriate environment for everyone.
• Complete an interview to determine if Hope House is the right fit.
• Enter without employment obligations. Employment is introduced later in the program.
• Participate fully in classes, discipleship, service, and program activities.
• Commit to a phone-free environment while in the program.

A story of God's faithfulness

In 2020, God stirred our hearts with a deep burden for the homeless in our community. We could not ignore the growing need for a place where people could find not just shelter, but hope and restoration. We believed He was calling us to be His hands and feet for those in desperate circumstances.

Over the years, we prayed, planned, and tried more than once to launch programs that met this pressing need. Our hearts were ready, but the logistics were overwhelming. Every door we knocked on seemed to shut, and for a while we wondered how God's vision would ever come together.

But God's timing is perfect. In 2024, He provided not just any building, but a permanent home for the Hope House. The building, once a hotel known for negativity and despair, is being transformed into a place of healing and new beginnings. Through God's provision, we also received funding for the staff who lead this effort.
