The Hope House
A Dream Come True

Our Journey to The Hope House: A Story of God’s Faithfulness

In 2020, God began stirring our hearts with a deep burden for those facing homelessness in our community. It was impossible to ignore the growing need for a place where individuals could find not just shelter but hope and restoration. We believed in His calling to be His hands and feet to those in desperate circumstances.

Over the years, we prayed, planned, and even attempted to launch programs to meet this pressing need. While our hearts were ready, the logistics were overwhelming. It seemed like every door we knocked on was shut, and for a time, we wondered how God’s vision would come to fruition.

But God’s timing is perfect.

In 2024, God moved in a miraculous way. He provided not just any building but a permanent home for The Hope House—a place we had dreamed of but never imagined would come together so beautifully. The building, once a hotel with a reputation of negativity and despair, is now being transformed into a beacon of hope and restoration. What once symbolized brokenness is now being redeemed into a place of healing and new beginnings.

Through God’s provision, we also received funding for the staff who will lead this effort with compassion and care. The Hope House is now poised to become a life-changing program for those seeking stability, independence, and a brighter future.

We are honored to see how God is using The Hope House to write a new story, one where lives are changed, hope is restored, and His love is evident in every room.

Welcome to The Hope House

The Hope House is more than just a place to stay—it's a stepping stone for men and women who are facing homelessness. At Marked For Life Ministries, we believe in the power of transformation through effort-based programs, personal growth, and community support.

Located in the heart of DeKalb County, The Hope House is a newly renovated space offering dignity, stability, and an opportunity to rebuild lives.

The Program

The Hope House operates on a unique four-phase structure that equips individuals with the tools and resources they need for independence:

Phase 1: Invest in Yourself
Neighbors earn and volunteer with Marked For Life Ministries, attend church, discipleship classes, life skill classes, and work on personal development.

Phase 2: Focus on Employment
With a solid foundation, residents begin seeking and securing employment opportunities.

Phase 3: Transition to Housing
Residents move into permanent housing, with continued support from our team.

Phase 4: Give Back
Graduates maintain a relationship with The Hope Center, often returning to volunteer and inspire others.
