Celebrating One Year of Services

In April, The Marked For Life Ministries Hope Center celebrates one year of ministry in DeKalb County. Over the past year, Marked For Life has continued to pioneer efforts to help our neighbors in need. Along with many practical services offered at The Hope Center, the transformation happens through the Care Coordinator Program, crafted to lead neighbors to self-sufficiency. Each week, clients can visit to receive counseling in career, family, and life circumstances.

Through these efforts, over 400 individuals were served in the past year, over 5,000 phone calls were received through the 24/7 Crisis Line, 3,600 Hot Meals were distributed through Deliver Hope Projects, and over 25 individuals are in permanent housing.

This Winter, multiple ministries came together to form Hope Houses, a winter program to provide a safe haven for neighbors without a warm place to lay their heads. Through this intensive program, 5 Individuals received Residential hands-on support, including discipleship, life skills, and counseling. Each neighbor is now living a life of self-sufficiency along with permanent housing and employment. This ministry would not be possible without the efforts and support of our local churches and ministries in DeKalb County.

"We're so thankful for our churches and volunteers standing up to make a difference; without our volunteer heroes this ministry would not be possible." - Logan LeGrande

Marked For Life Ministries is staffed 95% by volunteers with the heart to help those in need; along with The Hope Center, MFL leads several other local initiatives to bring real change to our community.
